Heaven is the home of a Family, and Jesus Christ came to establish a Family. It is called the church. And while the church is universal, we believe God establishes local expressions of church where people can commit to one another and reflect how Heaven works on earth.
So everything we do, we do as family, with the goal of Living Grace which can reach the many thousands in the town in need of God's redeeming love. We live this adventure of reaching 'The Thousand One's' through many activities where His people are free to express themselves without fear of judgement.
Sunday service - worship, teaching, joy
Our Sunday Service, from 10 am, are celebrations, where we exuberantly express our thanks to the Saviour who has freely saved us by His grace. We believe that the Bible is God's infallible Word and we teach to equip and empower people to become more like Jesus and express Him in their adventure. And we love being together and laughing together. Always joyful and often unpredictable, we love coming together as family.
Our small groups, called Connect Groups, are places where people can grow together, enjoy life together, support one another, experiment and speak into one another's lives. Often on different topics and themes, these groups are hot-houses where we grow and develop for the adventure.
Living Grace Church in the Community
Living Grace Church holds two meetings each week at Vernon Terrace Community Center. Both were established several years ago, as mid-week gatherings.
The first, organised by Pete and Barbara, is held every Tuesday morning, from 10:00 am until 11:30 am. It is a time for games and chat, with cake and coffee (tea if preferred), plus a time to sing and partake in a quiz. Every week we have about 30 people visit us, most coming in their mini buses from Olympus Care Centers in the town. This is an amazing outreach into the community, so why not join us if you are free on a Tuesday morning. Everyone is welcome. For more information please contact Barbara Wilson on 01604 711761.
The second, every Thursday morning during school term, we have our Babies and Toddlers Group. This is run by Barbara Wilson at the Vernon Terrace Community Centre, from 9:00am until 11:30am. A time for children aged 0-4 years to come and play, socialize and have fun together, with their parents and carers. Again this is an activity aiming to help little ones mix before they go out into the big world of schooling. All children under school age are welcome. For more information please contact, Barbara Wilson: 01604 711761.
Children & Youth
We have many decades experience in running children's and youth clubs. Our Children's group, CoGs, runs during the Sunday morning service for children aged 4-11, and provides games, stories, activities, and most of all a chance to encounter God for themselves and become part of our vision. We also run a creche service for under 4's during the Sunday Service.
You can also be part of our Youth Group, for ages 12-17, which meets on Friday evenings. This group is currently running a Youth Alpha Course to help ground young Christians in their faith and open show the love of God to those seeking to find Him.
The church exists to bring hope and prosperity to our city. We have many different groups which you can attend or serve through, supporting children, youth, families, schools, parents, seniors, etc. We also partner with other local churches who offer services we don't so the church can fully support our city. Contact us for more information on these activities.
